Who They Are
QuasArk America, Inc. sets itself apart from other companies in the boat building industry by being the only company that has integrated lift, propulsion, and wave dampening technology into one system. This means that, if you have ever ridden in a car with bad shocks on a bumpy road, or in a boat at high speed across the water, and have been jolted around, QuasArk is the first to put an impact reducing system into a vessel through unique manipulation of the air.
Without giving away any proprietary information, the watercraft that QuasArk designs are a form of hovercraft called Surface Effect Ships. Instead of sailing, the ships fly along the water on a cushion of air that is generated by the vessel itself. If you have seen a pelican zooming over the water, that is what it is doing. They have huge wings that are down just over the surface of the water and take advantage of the cushion of air below.
What We Did
When first approached by QuasArk their company was in the process of securing another round of financing to continue building the prototype craft as described above. The biggest problem facing QuasArk was that they didn't have a working prototype to show potential investors. Working off of construction blueprints and CAD drawings, we modeled their boat from the 'ground up' in 3D which then allowed us to create full 360 degree images(see above) as well as animated scenes. Working with a director hired by QuasArk, we then created a series of animated sequences as a narrative voice over described in detail what the craft would be able to do upon completion.
